She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Nolin, Bessie Harris Markham, Claud F. and Fannie Smith Dinwiddie; and her parents, Thomas Harris Markham and Edith Dinwiddie Markham.
She is survived by: her husband William H. Gentry; her brother Thomas Eddie Markham; her children, Jonathan Markham Gentry and Laura Leigh'Missy'Gentry; and her granddaughter Amanda J. Gentry.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery where her immediate family and generations of ancestors are buried, including her parents, for the upkeep of the property.
