She was predeceased by: her parent James Stanley; her husband Edgar Cowles; her children, Darrell Cowles, Jimmie Cowles and James Edgar Cowles; and her siblings, Edward Stanley, Elizabeth Eaton, Kate Hagon, Benjamin Stanley, Mayme Stanley and Lavinia Wheat.
She is survived by: her parent Anna Butt Stanley; and her children, William "Bill" Cowles (Nina) of Franklin, Wanda Watkins (Donnie) of Auburn, Billy Joe Cowles (Janet) of Franklin and Bobby Glenn Cowles (Rebecca) of Glasgow. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
