She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Delk and Susan Delk (Button); her husband James E. Carpenter; her children, Carolyn Sue Carpenter Gregory, Michael Ray Carpenter and Mark Thomas Carpenter; her siblings, Carlos, Marvin, Wesley, Lloyd, Verta and Ruby; and her great grandchild Brad Eugene Griffith.
She is survived by: her sons, James Edward "Eddie" Carpenter (Marcia) of Clarksville, IN and Ricky Carpenter (Jana) of Franklin, KY; and her grandchildren, Michael Eugene Carpenter, Rodney Keith Carpenter, Sheri Gregory Harper, Tammy Michelle Griffith, Tracy Carpenter, Vanessa Carpenter, Chris Bueley, Dustin Carpenter, Erin Leslie Summers and Caleb Carpenter. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home (325 W Cedar St, Franklin, KY 42134). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at the Greenlawn Cemetery (420 Cemetery St, Franklin, KY 42134).
