He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Jean Dorton (Maggard); his wife Marcina Dorton (Richmond); his children, Brittany Dorton of Franklin, KY and Jared Dorton (Hannah) of Franklin, KY; and his sister Sherrie Johnson (Scott) of Leawood, KS. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
