He was predeceased by: his parents, Sammie Lee Head and Dutsy Bell Morphew Head; and his former wife Janet Lee Head. He is survived by: his wife Mima Lee Head; his children, Duane Lee Head of Bessemer, AL, Brenda Lea Smith (Stephen) of Indianapolis, IN, Brian Lee Head (Maria Alamada) of Shelby Township, MI and Darren Lee Head (Laura Detjen) of Okinawa; and his grandchildren, Alan Kennedy, Stephanie Kennedy, Brittany Rife, Danielle Detjen, Brandon Head, Ryan Head and Dakota Smith. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
