She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Hackney and Nellie Hackney (Groves). She is survived by: her husband Robert Whitaker; and her children, Robin Castleberry (Kody) of Franklin, KY, Derek Whitaker of Franklin, KY and Aimee Whitaker (Mike) of Franklin, KY. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 5 siblings; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory (325 W Cedar St, Franklin, KY 42134). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at the Greenlawn Cemetery (420 Cemetery St, Franklin, KY 42134).
