He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Bowles and Lecta Capshaw Bowles; his wife Virginia Haney Bowles; his son Rex Randall Bowles; and his siblings, Rachel Thompson, Mitch Bowles, Jack Bowles and Marshall Bowles.
He is survived by: his son Phillip Lee Bowles (Lisa) of Franklin; and his grandchildren, Deanna Vanminos (John) of White House, TN, Scott Bowles (Lindsay) of Lexington, KY, Rachel Bowles of Franklin, Carson Bowles of Franklin, Hunter Bowles of Franklin and Josh Eden (Leslie) of Franklin. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
