He is survived by: his parents, Billy Hughes and Martha Ann Soyars Hughes of Franklin; his sister Luann Carnall (Murray) of Shepherdsville, KY; his nieces, Emily McCullough (Matthew) of Mt. Washington and Molly Carnall of Louisville; and his great-niece Annslee McCullough.
