She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Bill" Asbury Allen and Lucy Jane Branham Allen; her grandson Eric R. Shumate; and her siblings, Billy Allen, Roger Allen, Kenneth Allen, Roberta Allen and Margie Spruell.
She is survived by: her husband William Dillard Hicks; her children, Sandra Jane Hicks Shumate of Franklin, KY, Mark William Hicks of Franklin, KY and Kristi Lynn Calvert of Franklin, KY; her grandchildren, Amy Hicks Ross, Cassie Jane Haley, Brittany Calvert Pearson, Amber Hicks Hall, Brandon Austin, Zachary Tyler Reece and Devin Reece; her siblings, Mary Owens of Franklin, KY, Karen Shoulders of Franklin, KY, Peggy Lucas of Greenwood, IN, Patricia Allen of Greenwood, IN and Ronnie Allen of Indianapolis, IN; her daughter-in-law Tina Hicks Vaughn; and her grandchildren, Jessica Shoulders and Josh Shoulders. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
