He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sister Mary Frances Short; his wife Bonita Lu Chaney Cooper of Franklin, KY; his children, Donnie Cooper (Dawn) of Mount Prospect, IL, David Cooper (Ewa) of Streamwood, IL, Melissa Vanzandt of Guntersville, AL, Angela Martin (Bret) of Holly Pond, AL, Brandon Dover (Kristina) of Franklin, KY, Neely Painter (Jarrett) of Telford, TN and Mark Higgason of Beth Page, TN; and his siblings, Melvin Tolbert (Brenda) of Jemison, AL, Betty Phillips (Chuck) of Joppa, AL and Bonnie Moore (Walter) of Blountsville, AL. He was also cherished by 21 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
