She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Canida and Estelle Kitchens Canida; her husband Henry Wheeler; and her siblings, James, Joe Canida, Sara Bernice Dixon, Ella Canida, Geneva Slater, Annie Ruth Grissom and Rita Hanley.

She is survived by: her children, Joyce Turner (Barry) of Franklin, Charlotte Cassity (Larry) of Franklin and Robert Wheeler (Beverly) of Readyville, Tennessee; her sister Martha Poteet of Bowling Green; and her caregiver Carolyn Low. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
