We are sad to announce that on November 19, 2022, at the age of 94, Marjorie Marie Fones of Franklin, Kentucky, born in Norfolk, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William John Barfield and Betty Barfield (Hudson); her husband Max Stewart Fones; and her daughter Virginia Lee Fones. She is survived by: her children, Mary Ellen Fones Schnabel (Roger) of Lexington, KY, William Michael Fones of Norris, TN, John Mark Fones (Natalie) of Bowling Green, KY and Matthew Hudson Fones (Anne-Taylor) of Nashville, TN; her grandchildren, Melissa Mahoney, Gary Shively, Jeremiah Fones, Megan Long, Cory Fones, Cydney Fones, Audrey Fones, Katherine Fones and Caroline Fones; and her sisters, Elizabeth Hitchings of Virginia Beach, VA, Betty Mae Hayhurst of Annandale, VA and Pauline Fitch of Acworth, GA. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
