He is survived by: his children, Sonya Smith (Darin) and John Hicks; his grandchildren, Hilary Williams (Derek), Trenton Hicks, Max Smith (Kyla) and Carson Smith; his sister Betty Chaffin; and his brother-in-law Jackie Freeman.
