He is survived by: his son Tim Mayes (Pam) of Franklin; his sister Shirley Cummings of Franklin; and his grandchildren, Mason Barnes (Jessicae), Kelly Barnes (Tammy), Chad Deweese, Shelley Hickman (Nicholas) and Christi Patterson (Jerrin). He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
