She was predeceased by: her parents, Abraham Smith and Ella Smith; her sons, Robert C. Nixon and Joseph H. Nixon; and her granddaughter Dorothy Nixon.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Duffer; and her children, Donna Marie Nixon, Lyndia (Aaron Daughtry), Sandy Nixon, Ricky (Janie Duffer) and Kim (Danny Sullivan). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to help with the funeral expenses.
