He was predeceased by: his parents, Ardell N. Owens and Valada Stein Owens; and his siblings, Melba Williams, Pat Dorf and Fran Foertsch.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Welshans Owens of Franklin; his children, Jennifer McBride (Mike) of Franklin, Dana Johnson (Kenneth) of Franklin, Jeff Owens (April) of Franklin and Jason Owens (Sonya) of Franklin; his siblings, Dennis Owens of Foley, Leonard Owens of Tilden and Cheryl Sommer of New Athens, Illinois; his grandchildren, Mollie Hodges (Daniel), Megan Kepley (Kyle), Jessica Vaughn (Terry), Jenna Clark (Kristian), Lee Goad (Amanda), Caleb Goad, Brittany Lomax (Christian), Kelsey-Jo Carver Kirstie (Dillion), Corinne Owens, Hunter Owens, Lindsay Murray (Ty) and Dawson Owens; and his great grandchildren, Easton, Grady, Reed Hodges, Maddox, Juniper, Tillie, Dixie, Marloe Kepley, Legend, Ivory Vaughn, Marshall, Summit Clark, Marlee Goad, McKenna, Wolfgang Goad, Kash, Kingston, Briggs Carver, Calum, Conway Whitaker and Raelyn Murray. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (553 Ashmoor Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42101).
