With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dea Ray of Franklin, Kentucky, who passed away on August 26, 2020 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dea Ray to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Ray, Sr. and Pearl Whitehead Ray; his wife Lorene Minor Ray; his son David Alan Ray; his grandson Michael Steven Ray; his siblings, James Ray, Twyman Ray, Leslie W. "Bill" Ray, Sally Walker, Alene Underwood and Nora Coast; his half-brothers, Mickey Ray and Ronnie Ray; and his stepsister Helen Wright.
He is survived by: his children, Mike (Peggy Sue Ray), Lloyd (Sheila Ray), Brenda (William Rose), Betty (Tommy Curry), Debi (David Newton) and Tina (Mark Meece); and his half-brothers, Albert of Greensburg and Larry Ray of Greensburg. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
