He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Burnette and Martha Ann Spurlock Burnette; and his siblings, Estella Head, Earlene Gregory, Dorothy West, Flossie Estes, Gordon Burnette and Dalton Burnette.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Cauley Burnette; his children, Connie Johns (Jim Bill) of Franklin, KY, Felecia Robertson (Oscar) of Jasper, IN, Terry Burnette of Franklin, KY and Penny Smith of Bowling Green, KY; and his grandchildren, Adam Robertson, Katy Robertson (Chris Lynn), Tyler Kelley (Amy), Samantha Miller (Thomas) and Levi Smith. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
