He was predeceased by: his parents, Elisha Shepherd and Rebecca Shepherd (Feltner); and his siblings, Larry Joe Shepherd, John Shepherd, Claude Julius Shepherd, Thelma Smith and Sirelda Ann Shepherd.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Shepherd (Mitchell); his children, Melissa Nicole Eaton Farley (Franklin) of Blue Ridge, GA, Mary Carol Shepherd Coon (Edward) of White House, TN and Darrick Bige Shepherd (Kathryn) of Goodlettsville, TN; his grandchildren, Evan Shepherd, Marlena Coon, Elijah Coon and Emersyn Shepherd; and his siblings, Marcus Shepherd of Morganfield, KY, Alvin Shepherd of Corbin, KY, Roger Shepherd of Hendersonville, TN and Wilma Wooten of Corbin, KY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Franklin Church of Christ in memory of Bige Shepherd.
