He is survived by: his sister Patsy Lynn; his wife Jeanne Hilgert Hansen; his children, James (Connie), Brett, Dawn Katte and Keri Atkinson (Kevin); his grandchildren, H. Wesley Skotterud, Brett Oliver Hansen, Merle Hansen, Hillary Hansen Boldt, Stella Hansen Enger, Sena Atkinson Gerstmayr, Mike Hansen, Jarod Atkinson, Holly Katte and Daisy Katte; and his great grandchildren, Lucy, Leia, Lyla, Mason, Connor and Saint.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Cancer Society earmarked for prostate research or to First United Methodist Church for elder care.
