The memory of Mattie Davis of Frankfort, Kentucky, who passed away on October 8, 2024 at the age of 102, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Garner and Harriett Warren Garner; her husband John R. Davis, Jr.; and her brothers, Robert H. Garner and Sandford L. Matchen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Betty Davis, Harriett Davis of Frankfort and Ruby Goatley of Louisville; her grandchildren, LiAndrea, Elizabeth, Victoria and Jonathan Goatley; and her siblings-in-law, Henry Davis, Emma Matchen and Josephine Garner. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Kentucky State University in her honor.
