Though Martha may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Martha touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Porter Hammond and Elizabeth Berry Hammond; her husband Cecil Tolson; and her son Jimmy Lane Tolson. She is survived by: her grandchildren, James Tolson, Debbie Anderson, Sandy Tolson, Russell Tolson and Tina Tolson; and her great grandchild Reagan Tolson.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at the LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home (1725 Louisville Rd, Frankfort, KY 40601). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Frankfort Cemetery (215 E Main St, Frankfort, KY 40601).

“So sorry to miss her funeral…😢 Martha was one of a kind! One the sweetest around & such a good & faithful Christian. She was loved by many. I would always love hearing her tell the story of her helping the doctor deliver my mom, Joan Katherine, when she was just 13 years old. She is now with our Lord…where she wanted to be. Prayers ❤️ Kathy Brown (her 2nd cousin)”
