He was predeceased by: his parent James Clayton of Hazard; his brother James Thomas Rogers; and his nephew James Leslie Rogers. He is survived by: his parent Marie Caudill Rogers of Hazard; his wife Audrey Combs Rogers; his children, Leslie Craig Rogers of Lexington, Christopher Clayton Rogers of Frankfort and Nea Rodgers; his son-in-law Nick Rodgers; his grandchildren, Garrett Keaton, Gavin Michael, Gabe Harrison, Grayson James, Andrew Clayton of New Albany, IN, Mary Clayton and Harrison Scott; and his nieces, Ginger Loy (Eric), Jamestown Rogers and Donna Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center or the Markey Hematology Program.
