She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Malone and Floradel Malone; her husband Jack H. Hoover; and her sister Shirley Vanek. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Taylor H. Hoover (Missy Hoover) and Meaghan H. Barnett (CO); and her grandchildren, William M. Barnett V (Katy), Michal A. Barnett, J. Nelson Hoover and Hayden H.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church of the Ascension or the Frankfort Humane Society in memory of Karen Hoover, celebrating her life and her love for her community.
