With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John A. Sykes (Frankfort, Kentucky), who passed away on January 5, 2019 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Juanita Sweat, Mabel Sykes, David Sykes and Henrietta Sullivan. He is survived by: his children, Pamila Johnson, John Sykes, David Sykes (Isis) and Keri Sykes; his siblings, Anna Sykes, Ben Sykes, Carolyn Sykes, James Sykes, Robert Sykes and William Sykes; his grandchildren, Joshua Johnson, Quinn-Elliott Nation, Bryan-Christopher Sykes, Denisha Summerour-Dodge, Astrid Sykes and Santiago Sykes; his great grandchild Maximillian Johnson; and his former wives, Ayon Embry and Delores Calhoun. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the South Frankfort Community Center or Frankfort Habitat for Humanity.
