He was predeceased by: his daughter Ann Kay Mitchell; and his siblings, Marjorie Cherry, Daniel W. Mitchell and Robert Mitchell. He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Cordelia Adams (Anthony), Midway Rayner, JoNell Mitchell Rayner and Dawson Springs. He is also survived by his 5 granddaughters; and 1 great granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Franklin County Senior Citizens Center.
