He was predeceased by: his parents, John Walker Thompson and Mollie Clark Thompson; his daughter Vanessa Thompson; and his brother Donald Clark Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Helen Miller Thompson; his children, Donald Keith Thompson and Amy Franklin (Ernie); his stepdaughters, Donna Fritts (Jeffrey) and Theresa Keplinger; and his sister-in-law Helen Thompson. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
