He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Foster Fern and Mayme Boone Fern. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Lisa Reutener (John), Michael S Fern (Kimberly) and Gretchen Watson (Jason); his grandchildren, Alec, Caleb, Jonah, Josiah, Leeland, Annalise and Christiana; his brothers, Ronnie Fern (Wanda) and Tommie Fern, Sr. (Lena Rae); his niece Lynn; his great-nieces, Kaitlyn and Danielle; and his great-nephew Colton Lane. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harrod Brothers Funeral Home (312 Washington St, Frankfort, KY 40601). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
