She was predeceased by: her husband Earl Whitaker; her parents, Robert Bruce and Gertrude Emmons Goodwin; and her siblings, Bruce E. Goodwin, Jay Goodwin, Myron Joe Goodwin, Helen M. Sosby and Carol Caudill.

She is survived by: her children, Susan Fugate (Terrence) of Nicholasville, Anthony Earl Whitaker (Carmen) of Canoga Park, CA, Kimberly Fogle (Ronald) of Louisville, KY and Karen Whitaker of Oak Park, CA; her grandchildren, Sara N. Whitaker (Stephen Noble Smith) of Charleston, WV, Patrick D. Fogle of Louisville, KY, Kathleen S. Parsons (Ryan) of Frankfort, KY, Jake A. Whitaker of Annapolis, MD and David W. Whitaker of Las Vegas, NV; her great grandchildren, Jackson Smith, Silas, Graham and Reagan Parsons; and her sister Ottie Mulberry of Lexington.
