She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Franklin Howard and Lillie Leath Devers; her siblings, James Howard, Don Howard, Wayne Howard, Betty VanHoose and Darlene Huff; and her granddaughter Alicia Palmer Harvey.
She is survived by: her children, Gary "Scotty" Courtney (Debbie), David "Crockett" Courtney, Debbie Sue Hockensmith, Nancy Aline Courtney (Larry) and Pamela Rae Courtney; her sister Janey Jeffries; and her grandchildren, Jason S. Courtney (Casey), Forrest "Bub" Palmer, Jr., Brittany Wise (Shane), McKenzie "Mac" Courtney, Zachary Courtney (Lensey), Bryan Courtney and Keelie Courtney. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
