He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Scifres and Arnell Scifres (Hardin); his siblings, Rosalie Lewis and Wayne Scifres; and his son Mike Scifres.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra "Sandy" Scifres; his brother Gordon Scifres; his children, Laura Linder (Brian) and John Scifres (Kristin); his stepsons, John (Amber) and Mike Logan (Theresa); his grandchildren, Michael Scifres (Mikey), Emily Scifres, James Scifres, Kyle Linder, Kara Linder, Laine Scifres, Andrew Royce, Charles Logan, Payton Logan, Matthew Logan and Haley Logan; and his great grandchildren, Chloe Scifres, Kayle Scifres, Colton Scifres and Keira Logan.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
