He was predeceased by: his brother James E. Mitchell; and his uncle J. T. Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Louise "Weezie" Bryant; his children, Glenn Mitchell (Marlana), Carla Gillion (Tom) and Lou Anne Mitchell; his grandchildren, Kristin Gillion and Grant Gillion (Whitney); his great grandchildren, Makena, Rylan, Talan, Kaedyn and Nolan Gillion; and his siblings, Annette Leathers and Pete Mitchell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
