Bruce Dungan Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bruce Dungan of Frankfort, Kentucky, who passed away on April 19, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bruce Dungan to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellwood Griffith Dungan and Edith Mennig Dungan; his sister Carol Dungan McAllister; and his brother-in-law William A. McAllister. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Dawson Dungan; his sons, Bruce G. Dungan (Karen), Stephen A. Dungan (Pamela) and Patrick M. Dungan (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Amanda D. Atkins, Nicholas G. Dungan (Sherry), Meredith D. Shouse (Nathaniel), John W. Welch (Rachel), S. Ashley Welch, Zachary J. Dungan (Molly), Dawson M. Dungan and Daniel P. Dungan; and his great grandchildren, Hannah Smith, Macy Dungan, Beth Smith, JD Smith, Sadie Dungan, Griffith Atkins, Collin Dungan, Nicholas Shouse, Kylie Welch and Wesley Welch.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rogers Funeral Home (507 W 2nd St, Frankfort, KY 40601). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (416 W Main St, Frankfort, KY 40601). A committal service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Frankfort Cemetery (215 E Main St, Frankfort, KY 40601).
