She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Lee Whitaker and Alberta Purvis Whitaker; her husband James Lee Gatewood; and her brother Tommy Whitaker. She is survived by: her brother Mike Whitaker (Darlene); and her children, Jim Duncan (Linda), Steve Duncan (Pam), Jane Earl Driskell (Kenneth), Brenda Lichtenfels (Jimmy John) and Connie Duncan. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren.
