She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Kays and Josephine Tucker Kelly; her husband George A. "Butch" Newton; her son George A. "Tony" Newton, Jr.; and her brother Chris Kays.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tabitha Newton of Frankfort and Kimberly Newton McGaughey of Lawrenceburg; her brother John Phillips of Frankfort; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Winnie), Jessi (Bill), Kyle, Charlie (Christen), Emily (Chris), Kayla (Jalen) and Toni Mae; and her great grandchildren, Jayden, Penelope, Olivia, Cassidy, Jaxon, Violet, Kyran, Kasen, Karter, Kaiven and Kavari.
