It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helena Sue Gentry of Fountain Run, Kentucky, born in Allen, Kentucky, who passed away on December 9, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Allen Stinson and Lucy Stinson (Bohanon); her husband James Lester Gentry; her son-in-law Larry Anderson; her brothers, Hillous Stinson and Clovis Stinson; her sister-in-law Kaisie Stinson; her sister Dorothy Short; her brother-in-law Bill Short; and her siblings, Tillous, Leroy and Nellie Mae.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Faye Proffitt and Wanda Jean Anderson; her grandchildren, Angela Proffitt, George Steven Proffitt, Brandy Zackery (Stanton) and Seth Howard; her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Slaughter (Jake), Cameron Proffitt, Tylor Proffitt and Mercedes Proffitt; and her great great grandchildren, Abrahm Proffitt and Oakley James Slaughter.
