He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Benton Brooks and Cora Candace Smalling Brooks; and his siblings, James Brooks and Nell Teresa Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Agnes Carter Brooks of Fountain Run, KY; his children, Barry Brooks (Jane) of Tompkinsville, KY, Brian Brooks (Karen) of Fountain Run, KY and Carla Gantz (Jerry) of Glasgow, KY; his grandchildren, Candace Gearlds (Jeremy) and Lucas Brooks; and his great grandchildren, Isaac Brooks and Trace Gearlds. He is also survived by 5 step grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy make take the form of donations to the Fountain Run Fire Department or Fountain Run Cemetery.
