He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Elrod and L. T. Pugh Elrod; his son-in-law Lee Kelsch; and his grandsons, Nicholas W. Elrod and Stephen D. Elrod.
He is survived by: his wife Beulah Schlueter Elrod; his children, Rick Elrod (Judy) and Phyllis Kelsch; his grandchildren, Kellie Turner (Nick), Kent Kelsch (Candice), Jenna O'Hara (Mason), Natalie Stewart (A. J.) and Jon Elrod (Mariah); and his great grandchildren, Mackie, Mackenna Turner, Kamden, Isabella, Briella O'Hara, Carson, Kensleigh, Cooper Kelsch, Hallie, Kai Stewart, Collins, Merritt, Tripp and Campbell Elrod.
