She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Alvin C. Appel; her children, Ruth Averdick (Steve), Carol Dickman (John), Rita Smith (late Dave), Joyce Burwinkel (Joe), Betty Schadler (Willie), Mary Jo Pollitt (John), Al Appel Jr. (Celia) and Jim Appel (Brenna); her grandchild Thirty; and her brother Tom Stamm (Hazel). She was also cherished by Thirty-two grandchildren and seventy-six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
