She is survived by: her husband Danny Howard; her children, Shelby (Ashley), Griffin and Chelsea (Patrick); her grandchildren, Zoey, Ruby and Asher; her siblings, Mike Hughes of Slidell, LA, Linda Hughes-Goldstein of Loveland, OH and Cindy Farrell of Slidell, LA; and also Rita Elam. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Autism Speaks, as working with these children was her life's passion.
