He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. James King and Virginia King; and his brothers, Dr. John "Jack" King and Dr. James "Jimmy" King. He is survived by: his wife Sherrie; his siblings, Dr. William "Bill" King and Kathy Moore (Jim); his children, Dr. Michael King, Dr. John "Kelly" King (Joy), Patricia King, Dr. Molly King (Christopher Gorz), Nick King (Lucy), Brad King, Scott King (Beth) and Steven King (Sheila); and his stepchildren, Paul Heringer (Jennifer), Dave Heringer, Catie O'Cafrain (Xabi) and Michael Heringer (Lindsey). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Middendorf Funeral Home (3312 Madison Pike, Fort Wright, KY 41017). A Mass was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Church (627 W Pike St, Covington, KY 41011). A burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. John Cemetery (1 St Johns Rd, Fort Mitchell, KY 41011). A reception was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the St. John Church (627 W Pike St, Covington, KY 41011).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Memory and Honor of Dr. Joseph King to either St. John's Church (see above) or to Heritage Fellowship Church (memo line: Sunday Luncheon with Love) 7216 US HWY 42 Florence KY 41042.
