He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Kern; his children, Beth Townsend (late Mark), Katherine Kern (Nicolas Michaelides) and Patrick Kern; his granddaughter Keira Michaelides; and his sister Nancy Kern Barczak. He is also survived by friends and extended family.
