He was predeceased by: his wife Carole Wood. He is survived by: his children, Michael Wood (Mary), Terri Maurer (Kurt) and Melissa Fleming (Daniel); his grandchildren, Chris, Lauren, Adam, Sam of Ryan, C. J. and Lexi; and his nephew Joe Battaglia. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
