Gary R. Averdick Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary R. Averdick (Fort Wright, Kentucky), who passed away on April 20, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Averdick and Esther Sommerkamp Averdick; and his brother Captain Bill Averdick. He is survived by: his daughters, Holly Averdick and Heather Averdick Wagner (Doug Wagner); his grandchildren, Noah and Crosley Wagner; and his brothers, Mike Averdick (John Gerwe), Steve Averdick (Ruth Appel Averdick) and Joe Averdick (Liz Lavandero Averdick). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Middendorf Funeral Home (3312 Madison Pike, Fort Wright, KY 41017). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Agnes Church (1608 Dixie Hwy, Park Hills, KY 41011).
