He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Jim Adams. He is survived by: his sister-in-law Laray Adams; his wife Arlene Whitaker; his children, Donna, John Cooper, Richard, Diane Whitaker, Jonathan and Naomi Whitaker; his grandchildren, Myanna, Matthew Webster, Nathan, Anny Whitaker, Joshua Whitaker, Justin, Kaytlynn Whitaker, Rachael Whitiker, Alison, Lloyd Gilkes and Sam Cooper; and his great grandchildren, Bryant Webster, Arden Webster, Colin Webster and Silas Gilkes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in his honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause he held close to his heart.
