He was predeceased by: his parents, Molly Wheeler and Ben Wheeler; his wife Rhoda M. Wheeler (Sandlin); his son Douglas Wheeler; his siblings, Emma Dennis, Joseph, Morgan (Jean), Lafon and James Wheeler (Letha); and his close friend Ray Croley.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Henderson (Jim) of Gainesville, FL; his daughter-in-law Becky Wheeler of Morningview, KY.; his granddaughters, Christy Floyd (Matt), Sarah Henderson, Ashley Wheeler and Brittany Duncan (Garrett); his great grandchildren, Makenzie, Bentley, Emma, Briella and Colton; and his sisters-in-law, JoAnn Wheeler and Pauline Jones.
