He was predeceased by: his parents, George F. Messmer and Leona Messmer (Uebel); and his wife Hilda Messmer (Kremer). He is survived by: his children, Rob (Dawn), Mark Messmer, Lynn Olson, Lisa VanDerSluys (Rich) and Lori Messmer; his grandchildren, Abigail, Isabella, Sophia Messmer, Madelyn, Natalie, Kate, Luke Olson, Justin, Austin VanDerSluys, Seth and Cole Garnett; and his brothers, Tom (Beverly) and John Messmer (Judy). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces cousins, and many friends.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Therese Church (11 Temple Pl, Southgate, KY 41071).
