He was predeceased by: his parents, Esta Knauer and John Knauer; his wife Dorothy; and his siblings, Mildred Ballard, Dorothy Peterson, John "Bud" Knauer and Jimmy Knauer.
He is survived by: his children, Dolly Lickert (Mark), Jeanne Powell (late Larry), Daryl Knauer (Teresa), Shari Black (Don), Sandy Martin (Tim), Kim Schiesler (Jeff), Michele Knauer (Ray) and Scott Knauer (Jaime); and his sister-in-law Frieda Graf Knauer.
