She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Johns and Marie Johns (Hilbert); and her son Dr. Gregory Sutton. She is survived by: her husband Charles Sidney Sutton; her son Eric Sutton; her daughter-in-law Dr. Shelley Sutton (Tretter); her grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew Sutton; and her siblings, Mary Lou Cunningham and Ron Johns (Gloria). She is also survived by Aunt Babs to her nieces and nephews.
