He is survived by: his wife Linda Shirden; his children, James Michael "Mike" Shirden, Jeffrey Alan "Jeff" Shirden (Julie), Lynn Shirden Lewin (Scott) and David Anthony Shirden; and his sister Janet M. Martin (Ralph). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
